Élise Offenbach
I came to wedding photography slowly, after years documenting family life and editorial portraits across Paris. What drew me in — and keeps me here — is the chance to witness people at their most open. Weddings are a small miracle of timing, light, and feeling. My job is to be present, gentle, and ready.
My approach is documentary at heart, with the considered eye of an editorial portraitist. I love film tones, soft window light, the small gesture between a bride and her mother, the way a grandfather looks at his hands during the vows.
I'm based in Paris and travel throughout France, Italy, and the United Kingdom each season. I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every couple my full presence.
Philosophy
I move quietly and never direct beyond what's helpful. Most of the best photographs come from moments you forgot I was there.
No heavy filters or trends. The images you receive will look, and feel, like the day you lived.
An album worth opening in twenty years. That's the standard I work toward, every time.
